The 2nd in Amador Master Gardeners’ “In Harmony” series will be
presented September 11 at the UCCE large auditorium, 12200-B

beautiful ornamentals, trees, and vegetables. We will explore in
Part 1 creating and maintaining productive, healthy soil–wherever

SIERRA WILDLIFE RESCUE WILDLIFE CLASSES CONTINUE IN FALL
Sierra Wildlife Rescue's fall/winter classes for potential and
current wildlife rehabbers, and anyone interested in wildlife,
will be held starting in September. Rehabbing wild animal babies
and birds with SWR is more fulfilling and enjoyable than you can
imagine. If you love the birds of El Dorado County and would like
to learn how to rehab them, a class on rehabbing Crows, Ravens,
Magpies and other corvids will be held on September 11, 1:00 -
3:00 pm, and a class on rehabbing adult Song Birds on September
14, from 7:00-9:00 pm.
A class on Zoonotic Diseases (animal to human transmission) will
be held October 12, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. This is an important
class for current and potential rehabbers to learn how to handle
wild animals safely. The Advanced Medical Procedures class will be
held November 9, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, and the class on Anatomy and
Physiology on December 14, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
Classes on wildlife species in El Dorado County for the general
public and on rehabbing other wildlife species will begin in
January, 2011, throughout the spring. If you are interested in
rehabbing squirrels, raccoons, bunnies, possums, fawns, foxes,
coyotes, bobcats, or other wild animals, watch for future notices

Ninth Annual "Arts of Bear Valley" Show and Sale at Calaveras Big
Trees Park
Calaveras Big Trees State Park, CA - The Calaveras Big Trees
Association will cosponsor the 9th Annual Art Show and Sale
presented by Arts of Bear Valley which is displayed in Jack Knight
Memorial Hall in the state park opening on August 19 and closing
