The Strings Restaurant Group

Incorporated in July of 1999 with the mission to offer great Italian food at a very affordable price to their customers, Strings has items ranging from pizzas and pastas to more gourmet items such as Cioppino and Veal Marsala. Each meal is served by a smiling server, and is delicious.

Quality ingredients, masterful seasoning and gourmet offerings at great prices make this a restaurant you will want to visit often. The atmosphere inside is like walking into a family dining room, happy chatter, attentive servers, and attractive furnishings. Larger inside than it looks from the outside, there is ample seating--round tables for groups, booth seating, and tables for 2 or 4.

Consider a few of the menu items: Starters: Mussels simmered in a zesty seafood broth, $7; Shrimp Scampi in garlic, lemon juice, butter, and wine, $7. Entrees: Lasagna Pastry, lasagna baked inside an onion-garlic pastry shell served with meat sauce and Alfredo sauce, $13; Pork Tenderloin Gorgonzola, medallions of pork tenderloin marinated in olive oil, rosemary, salt and pepper then oven roasted and fresh vegetables, $13; entrees come with choice of Minestrone soup or Cafe salad and fresh baked bread.

Calzones: Pepperoni Cal-zone filled with mozzarella cheese and smoked pepperoni, served with Marinara sauce; Italian Sausage Calzone, $10; Chicken Pesto Sandwich, marinated chicken breast topped with sliced tomato and mozzarella cheese served on a toasted roll, $9.

Strings also has delicious Party Trays and Large Take-Out orders perfect for Office Parties and Birthdays. Situated in the Amador Plaza off Hwy 88, hours are Mon-Thurs, 11am to 9pm; Fri 11am to 10pm; and Sat and Sun, noon to 9pm.  www.stringscafe.com
