The Markets provide locally grown and produced fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, honey, olive oil, handmade clothing, crafts, soaps and lotions and more. Friends of the Library will be selling books, Master Gardeners will have their annual Tomato Tasting event, salsa and shortbread competitions will resume. Children's painting classes will return to the Sutter Creek market.

There are two fabulous new coordinators for the Pine Grove Farmers Market this year, Bianca Burton and Jamie Taylor. Both women participate in the market as vendors. Together they share a booth and manage any issues that may come up du-ring the market.

Bianca was instilled with her love of gardening by her mother and grandmother, who were both avid gardeners. Upon moving to the foothills she began to grow vegetables. Bianca, and her husband, Roy Carl, grow their produce at their Volcano Family Farmstead. They specialize in leafy greens, kale, chard and salad mixes. There is a micro climate in that area that is cooler than Pine Grove, which is perfect for growing these greens. Other vegetables that are grown later in the summer are radishes, squash, carrots and beets. They use only organic matter in their farming methods. They also raise chickens and sell eggs from their farm.

Jamie Taylor began making her herbal salves, lip balms, and sunscreens when she had her first child. She wanted only natural non-petroleum based products to use on her children so she began researching and experimenting with different herbs to produce her current products. She has created her own recipe book which she uses to reproduce a consistent result. Also, she creates and sells vinegar-based cleaning products. Her company is called L.LTs organics.

Bianca and Jamie have created a new business creating handmade, painted pots filled with succulents and cacti. These will be available at the Pine Grove Farmers Market. These women are rising stars in the upcountry. Make sure you stop by their booth and say hello.

The market schedules are: Jackson, Sundays, 9:00am-Noon; Pine Grove, Wednesdays, 3:00-6:00pm; Sutter Creek, Saturdays, 9:00 am-Noon; Plymouth, August 6 - October1st, 4:00-7:00pm, downtown park.
