Parkinsons Patient Support Groups Launch No-Bake Bake Sale

If you’ve ever felt compelled to create something yummy for a bake sale OR to attend an event to buy goodies lovingly cooked to help a good cause, boy – do we have a deal for you! The two support groups for Parkinson's Disease and other neurological disorders in Amador and Calaveras counties, “Living well with parkinsons…what’s shakin’?” which meets in Pine Grove and “San Andreas Movers & Shakers…it’s not OUR fault!” which meets in San Andreas, are having a NO-BAKE Bake Sale.

Sue Costa of the Movers & Shakers wrote a poem which explains this non-event: “I’m so busy I can’t bake, but just a moment I can take to send a little hard-earned DOUGH to help the “Parkies” with their cash flow. So be a hero a take a minute to send an envelope with your gift in it!”

Donations can be mailed to: proACTIVE parkinsons project, P O Box 313, Volcano CA 95689-0313 or sent to: Amador Community Foundation, P O Box 1154, Jackson CA 95642-1154 marked for the Parkinson's project. The support groups are sponsored by proACTIVE parkinson's project, an all volunteer non-profit organization which provides education, advocacy and support for those impacted by Parkinson's Disease [PD] and other movement disorders. Groups meet monthly for educational presentations, fellowship and to share hope. For meeting schedules or for more information, call Sarah at [209] 296.2575. For additional information, contact jani@volcano.net.
